Emma Karapetyan was born on January 6th 1991, in Kapan. When she was still student she appeared in the local SOSI ?TV’s children?s program “Zangak” as a presenter. She has also worked in the news department as a commentator. Later she graduated from Yerevan?s Academy of TV & Radio with top grades, having earned several certificates and diplomas.
She has prepared a series of international programs? journals and films such as “Golden Apricot“, “Traveling Notes? and along with Hamlet Ghushchian, prepared All Armenian Games? (2011) journal.
Currently, Emma writes in several periodicals and in Azad-Hye. She is preparing movies and programs for the TV channel “Kentron“, to be broadcasted soon.
Today?s conversation will focus on her recent participation in the International Youth Film Festival in Armenia “It’s Me”, held in Yerevan, where she was awarded a special diploma for her documentary “Old and New Kond” (Հին ու նոր Կոնդը) [see the film on YouTube below]
How did you end up making this movie and why ?The Old and New Kont? precisely?
When I was a senior at the Academy of TV & Radio, we had to make a movie as our graduation project. Previously I had only filmed a few reportages. Mr. Hamlet Ghushchyan- the dean suggested that we film together a program with the theme ?Streets of Yerevan?, and because ?Kond? is one of the oldest streets in Yerevan, I decided to start from there.
When I was walking in the streets of ?Kond?, looking at the faces of kind and hopeless people, I understood that I had chosen the right theme.
Anyway, after the project was done, it appealed to everyone and they suggested that I participate in the contest, but I wasn?t sure, it felt as if something was missing. After refining it, I submitted it to the contest and the result was so exciting, but it also brought along a huge responsibility.
What is the film about?
It’s a comparison between the old and the new ?Kond?, the people?s values and habits.
Would you film any other movies in the future?
Of course, I have big targets in both movies and journalism. But for now, I?ll focus on furthering my studies in Germany. I am trying to find a balance between all.
What do you tell young people who are trying to start a new thing?
I?d tell them that in life, you should try your best to feel comfortable with what you do and then try harder to excel in it, never give up, always be hard working and you will definitely meet the right people who would support and appreciate you.

Ծնվել է Կապանում 1991 Հունվարի 6-ին: Ավարտել է տեղի դպրոցը, զուգահեռ հինգ տարի տեղի ?ՍՈՍԻ? հեռուստաընկերությունում հանդես եկել, որպես ?Զանգակ? մանկապատանեական հաղորդման հաղորդավար, աշխատել նաև վերոնշված հեռուսաընկերության լրատվական բաժնում, նաև որպես մեկնաբան: Ավարտել է Երևանի ՀՌԱ-ն, գերազանց առաջադիմությամբ, արժանացել մի շարք պատվոգրերի, ու դիպլոմների:
Պատրաստել է մի շարք միջազգային ծրագրերի օրագրեր, ֆիլմեր ինչպես`?Ոսկե Ծիրան?, ?Traveling notes?, Համլետ Ղուշչյանի հետ համատեղ պատրաստել է նաև այս տարվա Համահայկական Խաղերի օրագիրը և այլք:
Ներկայումս Էմմա Կարապետյանը հանդես է գալիս, մի շարք ամսագրերի, ինչպես նաև ?Ազատ-Հայ? կայքի թղթակից է, նկարահանում ֆիմեր, նաև Կենտրոն Հեռուսաընկերության համար պատրաստում հաղորդումներ, որոնք շուտով կհանձնվեն հեռուսադիտողի դատին:
Սակայն մեր այսօրվա զրույցը Էմմայի հետ այլ է, վերջերս նրա իր ?Հին ու Նոր Կոնդը? ֆիլմը ?Ես Եմ? միջազգային կինոփառատոնում արժանացել է ժուրիի հատուկ դիպլոմի:
Էմմա, Ինչպե՞ս ստացվեց որ ֆիլմ նկարահանեցիք և ինչո՞ւ հենց ?Հին ու Նոր Կոնդը?:
Երբ սովորում էի ՀՌԱ յում ավարտական կուրսում պետք է դիպլոմային աշխատանք նկարահանեինք, մինչ այդ նկարել է մի քանի ռեպորտաժներ: ՀՌԱ ռեկտոր Համլետ Ղուշչյանից ստացա առաջարկ ?Երևանի փողոցները? թեմայով հաղորդաշար նկարահանելու մասին, և քանի որ Կոնդը Երևանի ամենահին թաղամասերից է որոշեցի սկսել հետ Կոնդից: Երբ քայլում էի Կոնդի փողոցներով, տեսնելով հուսահատ ու բարի մարդկանց դեմքերը հասկացա, որ ճիշտ թեմա եմ ընտրել: Այսպես դիպլոմայի աշխատանքս պատրաս էր, բոլորը հավանեցին, և առաջարկվեց հանձնել մրցույթի, սակայն ինքս ինչ որ թերի բան էի տեսնում, վերամշակելուց հետո հանձնեցի մրցույթի և ահա ունեցա արդյունքները, ինչը շատ ոգևորեցնող, և պարտավորեցնող է:
Ինչի՞ մասին է ֆիլմը:
Ֆիլմում Կոնդի հնի և նորի համեմատությունն է դրված, մարդկանց բարքերը և սովորույթները:
Այլ ֆիլմեր կշարունակե՞ք նկարահանել:
Այո իհարկե, մեծ նպատակներ ունեմ թե ֆիլմասպարեզում թե լրագրության բնագավառում, սակայն այժմ ջանում եմ ուսումս շարունակել Գերմանիայում, սակայն համատեղ ջանում եմ անել ամեն ինչ աշխատանքներս համատեղելու համար:
Ի՞նչ կմաղթեք այն երիտասարդներին ովքեր փորձում են ինչ որ նոր բան սկսել:
Կյանքում պետք է փորձել ամեն ոլորտ քեզ հոգեհարազատը գտնելու համար, իսկ եթե դա արդեն գտել ես պետք է անել ամեն ինչ դրա մեջ հմտանալու համար, պետք չէ երբեք հուսալքվել, այլ ջանասիրաբար պետք է աշխատել և հաստատ համապատասխան միջավայրում կգտնվի համապատասխան անձիք քո աշխատանքը ըստ արժանավույնս գնահատելու համար:
Շնորհակալություն հաճելի հարցազրույցի համար, քեզ մեծ նվաճումներ, քո նպատակների իրականացումներ:
