Sardarabad bookstore

Sardarabad Bookstore was established in 1984, by a group of AYF members from Valley AYF Sardarabad chapter in California, USA, to satisfy the growing need of the Armenian community regarding Armenian literature for kids and adult at the same time.

First it started as a portable bookstore which was open on Sundays during the church mass.

After growing the number of the new Armenian emigrants from different parts of the world to Los Angeles, the urge even grew more to have a stable bookstore with its doors open 8 hours a day from Monday through Saturday.

Since then Sardarabad is open to everyone who is interested in Armenian culture and literature.

The bookstore is very selective with its collection. Whenever there is new publication (children or adult) it organizes book signing to encourage authors. There is also once a month story telling for the kids.

The bookstore has literary group that comes together every other month to discuss recent publications.

It is selling also souvenirs and paintings.
