The following announcement has been received by the Embassy of Armenia in Abu Dhabi, regarding a Medical Congress taking place in Yerevan this year. Doctors or Medical Staff in the UAE can participate in this event, combining professional participation with tourism exploration of Armenia.
When President Kocharian visited Abu Dhabi in April 2002 he mentioned during a meeting with community representatives that one of the objectives of Armenia is to create advanced medical treatment centers to cater for the needs of Middle East and international medical tourists.
EMBASSY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Government of the Republic of Armenia is organizing the First International Medical Congress of Armenia, to be held on July 1-3, 2003 in Yerevan. The Congress is open to all health professionals and nurses.
The First International Medical Congress was developed as a forum to discuss a wide range of current topics facing the healthcare industry, including new medical treatment options in various healthcare disciplines and the latest in medical technology (from introduction to practical applications). The goal of the Congress is to help facilitate the cooperation and mutual support of various organizations, facilities, associations and medical professionals both in Armenia and around the world.
The Program of the Congress will consist of plenary and parallel scientific sessions.
The official languages of the Congress will be Armenian, English, Russian and French.
