Azad-Hye

The “Programme of Armenian Studies” has announced about its upcoming courses in Western Armenian, conducted by Dr. Krikor Moskofian (SOAS, University of London) at the “Hye Doon” (Armenian House) venue in High Street, Kensington, London.

Three levels are available (Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced), which will start the first week of October. In the future there would be also proficiency level courses, in addition to training courses for Western Armenian teaching. Separate tailor-made courses would be devised for Armenian literature, culture and history.

The courses consist of one two-hour lesson each week, organized into three terms of ten weeks. The courses are designed by Dr. Moskofian, tried and considered as ideal for classroom study. The advanced course is designed to consolidate the language acquired through the elementary and intermediate courses. At the end of the course students acquire a high level of sophistication in reading, writing and speaking. They become able to communicate on a variety of topics of social and cultural interest.

At the end of any of the courses an assessment and certificate of attendance is handed over to the student upon their request. The tuition fee is ?165 per term.
