Armenian Evangelical Bethel Church in Aleppo, Syria

The Armenian Evangelical Bethel School was built in 1923 in Souleimanieh, Aleppo, Syria. Currently the school has about 200 students. The Pastor of the Church is Rev. Haroutioun Selimian.

The Bethel Church serves the community through various ongoing services such as 1) kitchen: feeds the needy and hungry, 2) cafeteria: where families gather to enjoy warm fellowship, 3) music (Yerakhdik Choir), 4) children?s after-school and summer activities and 5) courses in foreign languages and computer training, etc.

The Christian Education and Resource Center at Bethel Church offers leadership training and seminars for Sunday school teachers, youth leaders and lay preachers.

Opposite the Bethel Church is the Jesus Evangelical Armenian Church (the previous building of the Estonian philanthropist Miss Buel's dispensary). The same building is nowadays the location of Aleppo branches of Howard Karagoezian and Jinishian Institutions (that provide medical, social and financial aid to the Armenians in Aleppo).
