Humour in a way of picturing the reality in a funny way. It is an excused imitation of the public life and the negative human characteristics.
Humor aims at stressing out the flaws in a person or a phenomenon, hence helping in getting rid of them. Humor is a mixture of kind attitude, worry, sympathy, melancholy and rejoicing.
Interview with talented humorist and actor Ashot Ghazaryan
Let us talk about the World Laughter Day (in May).
I think it is an important day and it should always be celebrated, because it is always easier to make people sad than make them happy. Every year, humorist Samvel Baghdasaryan pays special attention to this day; I?m glad that there?s someone in charge of the celebration. I?m sure it?s going to get more interesting with each passing year.
What characteristics should someone be endowed with in order to become a humorist?
No one can become a humorist; you should be born that way. You should have an inborn talent and work on developing it. Without a God given talent, nothing else helps.
You imitate Armenians from Aparan, Lori and Kyavar (Gavar). Have you ever told a joke that made people angry with you?
I always try my best not to let that happen. No matter how much humor there is, I never offend their dignity because everything is more beautiful when it has limits.
Is it easy to make the Armenian audience laugh?
To make my audience laugh has always been difficult, because it is too demanding. But I do my best to make the best presentations.
What kind of people makes the majority of your audience?
The majority of the audiences who attend my plays are the youth; this fact makes me happy; because it means that I am offering something that interests them.
Can we say that humor is a unique way to reflect reality?
Of course, humor is about phenomena that we encounter in real life; we simply improve and add some artistic touches to them and then present them to the audience.
Do you consider Armenians a nation with a sense of humor?
Yes, we have a unique sense of humor that no other nation has.
Recently your new play was performed “I Live in Yerevan”. Could you tell us about it?
I wrote the scenario along with the “Vitamin Club” guys. Let me add that it is indeed a pleasure to work with them (Robert and Charents), they are so talented. The director and I worked together to turn it into a play and I chose this title because it is so contemporary.
What is your opinion about the humor clubs in Yerevan?
I am so happy that they exist and are able to present themselves in such an interesting way. All performers are so talented; the subjects they tackle are all modern and up to date.
Do you consider yourself a patriotic person?
Of course, I love my homeland; I love Yerevan and its people. This is all automatically expressed in my plays.
What do you wish for the Armenian Diaspora?
I wish them health, love and happiness. I would also like to thank them because whenever I am invited to perform for an Armenian community – wherever that may be – they actively attend all my performances and cheer for me and that makes me feel so good.

Հումորը լատիներեն հյումր, բառացի հեղուկ, իրականության երգիծական պատկերման ձևերից մեկն է, ներողամիտ ծաղր հասարակական կյանքի, և մարդկային բացասական գծերի նկատմամ: Հումորի նպատակն է ցույց տալ դրական անձնավորության կամ երևույթի առանձին թերություննրը, օգնել դրանց վերացմնաը: Հումորն ունի բարեմիտ վերաբերմունքի, մտահոգության, կարեկցանքի, թաղծի, կամ կատակախառն հրճվանքի երանգ:
Խոսենք հումորի օրվա վերաբերյալ:
Կարծում եմ սա ևս կարևոր տոն է, և պետք է միշտ տոնվի ըստ արժանավույն: Չէ որ մարդկանց ավելի հեշտ է տխրեցնել, քան ուրախացնել: Ամեն տարի Սամվել Բաղդասարյանը անդրադառնում է այս օրվան: Շատ ուրախ եմ, որ կա մարդ, ով զբաղվում է դրանով, և կարծում եմ գնալով այս տոնը ավելի ու ավելի հետաքրքիր կտոնվի:
Հումորիստ դառնալու գլխավոր առանձնահատկությունը կարո՞ղ եք նշել: Այսինքն մարդ ինչո՞վ պետք է օժտված լինի, որ կարողանա հումորիստ դառնալ:
Հումորիստ ծնվում` ոչ թե դառնում: Մարդ պետք է ունենա նախ բնածին տաղանդ, այնուհետև այդ տաղանդը պետք է զարգացնել: Համենայնդեպս առանց Աստծո տվածի հնարավոր չէ:
Դուք նմանակում եք ապարանցիներին, լոռեցիներին, քյավառցիներին, իսկ եղե՞լ է այնպիսի դեպք. որ ինչ որ մի տեղ մի բան պատմեք և նեղանալու առիթ ստեղծվի:
Ինքս միշտ աշխատում եմ, որ նման առիթ չստեղծվի, ինչքան հումոր եմ անում այնուամենայնիվ փորձում եմ նրանց ինքնասիրությանը, արժանապատվությանը չկպնել, քանի որ ամեն ինչ չափի մեջ է գեղեցիկ:
Հայ հանդիսատեսին ծիծաղեցնելը հե՞շտ է:
Օրինակ իմ հանդիսատեսին ծիծաղեցնելը շատ դժվար է, քանի որ շատ պահանջկոտ է: Սակայն ամեն ինչ անում եմ արժանավույնս ներկայանալու համար:
Ձեր հանդիսատեսի գերակշռող մասը ովքե՞ր են:
Իմ ներկայացումների ժամանակ կարելի է ասել որ գերակշռող մասը երիտասարդներն են: Այս փաստը ինձ ուրախացնում է, փաստորեն իմ արածի մեջ նրանք իրենց հետաքրքրող բան են տեսնում: Որի համար ես ուրախ եմ:
Կարելի՞ է ասել որ հումորը դա իրականության արտացոլման յուրահատուկ ձև է:
Այո իհարկե դրանք կյանքից վերցված երևույթներ են, որոնց մենք ավելի զարգացնում, ավելի գեղարվեստական ուղղություն ենք տալիս և ներկայացնում հանդիսատեսին:
Հայերին հումորասեր ազգ կարելի՞ է համարել:
Այո իհարկե, հումոր ունենք աշխարհը չունի:
Վերջերս բեմադրվեց Ձեր նոր ներկայացումը` ?Ես ապրում եմ Երևանում? խոսենք այդ ներկայացումից:
Սցենարը գրվել է ?վիտամին քլաբ?-ի տղաների հետ միասին` Ռոբերտի և Չարենցի ի դեպ շատ հաճելի էր իրենց հետ աշխատելը, շատ տաղանդավոր տղաներ են: Ռեժիսորի հետ էլ ավելի դրամատուրգիական ուղղություն ենք տվել` դարձնելով պիես: Իսկ վերնագիրը ընտրել եմ ես, քանի որ դա արդիական է:
Ի՞նչ կասեք այսօր Հայաստանում առկա հումորային ակումբների վերաբերյալ:
Շատ լավ է, ուրախ եմ, որ նրանք կարողանում են հետաքրքիր ձևով ներկայանալ` լուրջ զբաղվել իրենց գործով: Նրանք բոլորն էլ տաղանդավոր են, արծարծվող թեմաներն էլ արդիական: Ուրախ եմ նրանց գոյության համար:
Ձեզ հայրենասեր համարո՞ւմ եք:
Իհարկե, ես իմ հայրենիքը շատ եմ սիրում, այդ ամենը դրսևորում է նաև իմ ներկայացումների մեջ` Երևանը, իմ ժողովուրդը, մեր արարածն ու ստեղծածը:
Ի՞նչ կմաղթեք սփուռքահայերին:
Մաղթում եմ առողջություն, սեր, երջանկություն: Եվ կուզենայի շնորհակալություն հայտնել, քանի որ երբ լինում եմ սփյուռքում նրանք միշտ ակտիվ մասնակցում են իմ ներկայացումներին: Ես շատ ուրախ եմ դրա համար:
