Meeting with Armenian students at Masdar Abu Dhabi

Azad-Hye

On 26 December 2012, the Embassy of Armenia in Abu Dhabi organized New Year meeting with the Armenian students who are following their Masters' degree courses at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi.

The Institute, located in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, is the world's first graduate-level university dedicated to providing real-world solutions to issues of sustainability. Eligible applicants to graduate programs must have an undergraduate degree in Engineering, IT or a Science-related field to apply for any of the MSc programs.

Currently there are seven students from Armenia who are following different graduate programs in the Institute leading to relevant Master's degrees.

During the meeting, Ambassador Gegham Gharibjanian briefed the students about the foreign and domestic policies of the Government of Armenia and the activities of the Embassy in Abu Dhabi. He also answered to the inquiries presented by the students.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the presence of Armenian graduate students in such an important institute as Masdar, where admission requirement is a minimum of CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 3.0 on a 4 point scale. Only the brightest UAE nationals and international graduates, who demonstrate exceptional intellectual and entrepreneurial strengths and are committed to addressing the world's energy needs, may join Masdar Institute.

The graduates will contribute in Armenia in finding solutions to the challenges of clean energy and climate change.
