Apelian emigrated from Lebanon to USA at the age of 12. She has been a psychologist / educator and assertiveness trainer and lecturer for 26 years.
Her story tells of deportation, refugee camps and the historical background of the Armenians.
Musa Dagh is a historical Armenian settlement in present day Hatay Province in Turkey where several Armenian villages existed. The population was deported in 1939 to Lebanon after the area was annexed to Turkey.
During WWI the population fought a heroic survival war against the invading Ottoman armies and irregulars.
