Azad-Hye wins Hayastan All Armenian Fund?s prize. First Dubai – Stepanakart live communication bridge.
From 12-16 October 2010 more than 150 journalists from Armenia, Diaspora and Karabakh attended the 5th pan Armenian Media Conference, held in Stepanakert, the capital of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh (NKR / Artsakh).
The main topic was “The challenges of 21st century, information security and Armenian media”. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Diaspora in collaboration with the All Armenian Media Association (AAMA) and the Union of Journalists of Armenia.
On the 13th October 2010 the participants laid a wreath at the memorial of the heroes of Karabakh freedom-fighters. The opening ceremony included messages by Bako Sahakian (President of NKR) and Hranush Hakobyan (Minister of Diaspora). Minister Hakobyan underlined the importance of holding the conference in Mountainous Karabakh, the cradle of our self-consciousness and the noble struggle for freedom. The primate of Artsakh Archbishop Parkev Martirosyan represented Catholicos Karekin II.
A 10 point resolution was adopted by the participants, which emphasized on the need to strengthen the unity between the three geographical locations of Armenian reality: Armenia, Diaspora and Artsakh. The resolution called for closer cooperation between Armenian media throughout the world and the activation of the media association. Measures were defined to promote Armenian subjects worldwide, including the Armenian Cause.
AAMA is established in 2006 during the 3rd pan Armenian Media Conference which was held in Tsaghkadzor. Currently there are 28 members of AAMA from Armenia, Diaspora and Artsakh. Azad-Hye is member of AAMA since 2009. The Association aims to reach to solutions and to coordinate Armenian media efforts in facing issues of pan Armenian importance, such as the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the acknowledgment of the process of fair solution of Karabakh issue, the establishment of Armenia-Diaspora economic and cultural ties, etc. The association also aims at developing pan Armenian advertising market.
The results of the Diaspora Armenian media awards for “Notable contribution to preservation of the Armenian identity” organized by the Ministry of Diaspora and the World Armenian Congress were announced. 54 mass media took part in the contest, including 12 websites. In the category of “Best Armenian Media” the following main winner were announced: Aztag daily from Beirut, Lebanon (published press category), Panorama Literary Cultural Periodical from Glendale, USA (periodicals category), Analitica from Kiev, Ukraine (electronic media category), Voice of Van from Beirut, Lebanon (radio category) and ARTN-Shant from Glendale, USA (TV category).
Our colleagues Hakob Asatryan from “Orer” periodical and Simon Aynedjian from “Gibrahayer” electronic magazine (Nicosia, Cyprus) won alternative prizes in their respective categories. Giragos Kuyumjian, writer and journalist from Kuwait took part in the first Kuwait-Stepanakert live communication bridge and called for closer contacts between Armenia and the Arab and Islamic Worlds.
During the four days of the conference the participants enjoyed the beautiful nature of Karabakh. They visited Kantsasar Monastery and the city of Shushi and excavation location of Tikranakert.

Azad-Hye was appointed as member of the organizing committee of the 5th pan Armenian Media Conference (12-16 October 2010). Founder and Editor Hrach Kalsahakian submitted a study to the conference titled “Armenian electronic media in the Arab countries“, which was discussed during the 3rd day's panel session (14 October 2010) through the first Dubai – Stepanakart live communication bridge.
On 16 October 2010 Azad-Hye Middle East Armenian Portal won Hayastan All Armenian Fund's prize for mass media.

?Լրատվամիջոցների համահայկական ընկերակցության անունից? շնորհակալություն եմ հայտնում սույն թվականի հոկտեմբերի 12-16-ը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության մայրաքաղաք Ստեփանակերտում անցկացված ?21-րդ դարի մարտահրավերները. տեղեկատվական անվտանգությունը և հայ լրագրությունը? թեմայով լրագրողների համահայկական 5-րդ համաժողովին մասնակցելու համար:
Ձեր մասնակցությամբ Համաժողովի ընթացքում քննարկվեցին համազգային մի շարք կարևորգույն խնդիրներ, որոնց լուծման համար անհրաժեշտ է համախմբել հայության լրագրողական ներուժը` ամրապնդելով և հզորացնելով Հայաստան-Արցախ-Սփյուռք եռամիասնությունը` կատարելով նպատակաուղղված ու շարունակական աշխատանք:
ՀՀ սփյուռքի նախարարության նախաձեռնած այս համաժողովի կազմակերպչական աշխատանքներում ներգրավված էին նաեւ ?Հայաստանի ժուռնալիստների միությունը? եւ ?Լրատվամիջոցների համահայկական ընկերակցությունը?:
?Լրատվամիջոցների Համահայկական Ընկերակցությունը? ստեղծվել է 2006 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 17-ին Ծաղկաձորում գումարված լրատվամիջոցների երրորդ համահայկական համաժողովի որոշմամբ: Ներկայումս ընկերակցությանն անդամակցում է 28 լրատվամիջոց Հայաստանից և Սփյուռքից:
?Լրատվամիջոցների համահայկական ընկերակցության? նպատակն է` իր անդամների համատեղ եւ փոխհամաձայնեցված աշխատանքով նպաստել համահայկական, ազգային նշանակության խնդիրների լուծմանը, կոորդինացնել հայկական մամուլի ուժերը ազգային նշանակություն ունեցող հարցերում, այդ թվում` աշխարհում Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման գործընթացին, Ղարաբաղյան հարցի արդարացի լուծմանը եւ աշխարհում խնդրի ճշգրիտ ներկայացմանը, Հայաստան-Արցախ-Սփյուռք, Սփյուռք-Սփյուռք տնտեսական, մշակութային եւ այլ կապերի ստեղծմանն ու ամրապնդմանը, Հաաստանի Հանրապետության պետականության ամրապնդմանը, Հայաստանում ժողովրդավարության զարգացմանը եւ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության միջազգային իմիջի ամրապնդմանը, Հայաստանի տնտեսական հզորացմանը եւ միջազգային ներգրավվածության մեծացմանը:
Ընկերակցությունը նպատակ ունի նաեւ աշխուժացնել հայկական լրատվամիջոցների գովազդային շուկան, ստեղծել մեխանիզմներ` աշխարհի տարբեր երկրներում գործող հայկական լրատվամիջոցներում հայկական ապրանքների եւ ծառայությունների համատեղ գովազդման համար:
Համաժողովի ընթացում մեզ մոտեցան բազմաթիվ լրատվամիջոցների ներկայացուցիչներ` ցանկություն հայտնելով միանալ ընկերակցությանը: Դա մեզ անչափ ուրախացնում է, քանի որ միայն համատեղ, միասնաբար, համախմբված` համալրելով մեր շարքերը, մենք կդառնանք ազդեցիկ մասնակագիտական կազմակերպություն, որն ի վիճակի կլինի լուծել իր առջեւ դրված դժվարին խնդիրները:
Ընկերակցության դռներ բաց են մեր գաղափարները եւ նպատակները կիսող բոլոր կազմակերպությունների, եւ առանձնապես Սփյուռքի հայկական լրատվամիջոցների առջեւ, որոնք իրենց ամենօրյա դժվարին ու նվիրյալ աշխատանքով ամենօրա հայապահպանական եւ ազգային սխրանք են գործում:
