An interview with singer Alin Goyan:
How did you get into singing? Tell us a bit about yourself.
I can simply say that my profession chose me and not the other way around, because I have been singing since I was six years old.
Here's what happened. I graduated from a vocal school and instead of enrolling in the conservatory I decided to study law, thinking that it is a far more stable profession and that it would be easier for me to have a career in the future.
After graduation I did work in that domain for several years, but one day, I just woke up and realized that I cannot go on like this forever. I realized that art is my passion and the essence of everything I do, so I decided to go to the Conservatory, and after graduation, it was clear that I had to plan something in that direction.
How did you collaborate with the AZD productions?
“AZD productions” used to have a show called “Trial Time” (Datajam) where I was the presenter; through my work I got to know the manager who listened to some songs from my pop CD and suggested that I record a new one. I agreed of course and I decided that this time it should include Komitas compositions only.
What about your concerts?
I usually take part in competitions and perform in the classical genre, but since I?ve been trying to sing pop recently, I received an invitation to participate in the Armenian Music Awards that will take place in 2012.
When will your fans get the chance to enjoy your new CD?
Currently I?m working with “AZD Productions” on the album, it is going to include 10 songs, six of which have already been arranged and recorded. Let me add that all the arrangements are going to be new and contemporary; the CD will be launched shortly.

– Ինչպե՞ս ստացվեց, որ սկսեցիք երգով զբաղվել, խոսենք ձեր մասին:
Կարող եմ ասել, որ իմ մասնագիտությունն է ինձ ընտրել, քանի որ 6 տարեկանից երգում եմ, ավարտել եմ հատուկ ձայնի պահպանման դպրոցը, այնուհետև կոնսերվատորիայի փոխարեն որոշեցի ընդունվել համալսարանի իրավաբանական ֆակուլտետը` ենթադրելով, որ այն ավելի կայուն մասնագիտություն է, և հետագայում ավելի հեշտ կլինի այդ մասնագիտությամբ առաջ շարժվելը: Ընդունվեցի, սովորեցի, ավարտեցի, աշխատեցի երկար ժամանակ այդ բնագավառում, այնուհետև մի օր ուղղակի արթնացա ու հասկացա, որ այսպես շարունակվել չի կարող, որովհետև արվեստը ինձ համար ամեն ինչ է, և ընդունվեցի կոնսերվատորիա, ավարտեցի և հասկացա, որ պետք է մի բան ձեռնարկել այդ ուղղությամբ:
– Ինչպե՞ս եղավ ձեր համագործկցությունը AZD production-ի հետ:
Այդ ընթացքում AZD production-ը իրականացնում էր ?դատաժամ? հաղորդումը, որը վարում էի ես, այդպես ծանոթացա և տնօրենին ներկայացրեցի իմ էստրադային սիդին և նրա կողմից առաջարկ ստացա սիդի ձայնագրել, իմ կողմից առաջարկեցի, որ դա լինի Կոմիտասի ստեղծագործությունները:
– Սովորաբար ի՞նչ ոճով եք հանդես գալիս:
Սովորաբար մրցույթներով հանդես եմ գալիս դասական ժանրի մեջ, սակայն վերջերս ինձ փորձեցի նաև էստրադային ժանրում և ստացա հրավեր մասնակցելու Արմենիան Մուսիքլ Ավորդս-ին, որը տեղի կունենա 2012 թվականին:
– Ե՞րբ պատրաստ կլինի սիդին:
Ներկայումս AZD production-ի հետ միասին աշխատում ենք իմ առաջին սիդիի վրա, արդեն ձայնագրել և մշակել ենք 10 ստեղծագործություն, որից վեցը ենթարկել ենք ժամանակակից մշակման, մնացել է չորս ստեղծագործություն: Սիդին պատրաստ կլինի շուտով:
