Turkish-Armenian world known photographer.
In 2005 he was awarded the prize of the President of the Republic of Turkey, along with other four prominent persons who contributed to the cultural life in Turkey.
The prize was handed to Ara Gyuler by President Ahmed Necdet Sezer during a special celebration that took place at the Chankaya Palace 11th November 2005.
