Great grandson of commander Tro visits an Armenian school in Beirut

On Friday, 18th of May, 2007, at 1:00PM, Mr. Aram Sharabkhanian, the grandson of the grandson of the great commander Tro, visited Mesrobian, along with Lebanon ARF “Tro” Committee representatives: Mr. Caesar Charmenian, Mr. John Assadourian and Mr. Serop Yakoubian.

 

The honorable guests were welcomed by the Principal of the college, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust. After a short cozy meeting, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust invited the guests to have a tour within the campus of the college.

 

Afterwards, Mr. Aram met with Mesrobian students in the playground. He addressed a word to them, saying: “I thank you all. I am very happy to meet you, and I am very happy to see you speaking Armenian and living like Armenians. Hence, Armenia is living within your hearts and you are proud of heroes like Tro. I thank you again, all of you.”

 

Following Mr. Aram's speech, the students sang “Mer Hayrenik” Armenia's National Hymn, conducted by Mr. Manuel Keshishian.

 

Students follow the speech of Mr. SharabkhanianBefore leaving the school, Mr. Aram left a note in the Golden Book of Mesrobian, where he states: “I am proud and touched for being here in this spectacular educational institution.”

 

The honorable guests left the school with wonderful impressions.
